PCOMPlus respects member privacy. This page explains what information PCOMPlus may collect, how that information may be used, and the choices members have regarding their profiles, communications, notifications, and accounts.

PCOMPlus is an official community rewards platform of The Pride Center of Maryland.

Information PCOMPlus May Collect

PCOMPlus may collect information that members provide during signup, profile setup, event engagement, rewards activity, referral activity, or account use.

  • City, if provided

  • Pronouns, if provided
  • Gender, if provided

Sensitive Information

Some profile fields may be sensitive. These may include sexual orientation, race or ethnicity, gender, date of birth, living situation, pronouns, phone number, and ZIP code.

PCOMPlus does not display individual member profiles publicly. Members may skip optional sensitive questions where available.

How Information May Be Used

PCOMPlus may use member information to:

  • Create and manage member accounts
  • Personalize event recommendations
  • Track points and rewards
  • Support profile completion
  • Manage Pride Code bonuses
  • Support referrals
  • Help members find relevant events and services
  • Send approved updates about events, rewards, points, and account activity
  • Improve the PCOMPlus platform
  • Generate internal reports for program planning

AI-Powered Recommendations

PCOMPlus may use selected profile interests, activity preferences, state or ZIP code, points history, and available event information to suggest events or rewards.

AI-powered recommendations should refer to selected interests or activities, not sensitive identity characteristics.

For example, PCOMPlus may say:

Recommended because you selected Health & Wellness.

PCOMPlus should not say:

Recommended because of your sexual orientation, race, gender, or living situation.

Communications and Notifications

Members may receive PCOMPlus communications if they opt in or provide consent. Communications may include:

  • Weekly event recommendations
  • Reward updates
  • Points and tier updates
  • Referral updates
  • Pride Code or campaign updates
  • General PCOMPlus announcements

Members can update notification preferences from their account/profile menu.

Member Choices

Members may be able to:

  • Update their profile
  • Update communication preferences
  • Turn off notifications
  • Remove or update their profile photo
  • Request a copy of their data, where available
  • Deactivate their account
  • Request account deletion

Data Access and Administration

Authorized PCOMPlus staff may access member information for program operations, account support, reporting, points management, rewards management, referrals, and platform administration.

Sensitive profile data is used only for appropriate PCOMPlus operations, support, reporting, or personalization.

Data Sharing

PCOMPlus does not sell member data.

Member information may be used by PCOMPlus and The Pride Center of Maryland to operate the platform, manage accounts, support rewards, personalize recommendations, communicate with members, and improve the program.

If third-party tools are used for hosting, email, analytics, authentication, or platform management, those services may process limited data required to operate the platform.

Data Security

PCOMPlus is designed to use reasonable safeguards to protect member information, including secure authentication, access controls, and limited admin permissions.

Data Retention

PCOMPlus may retain records needed for account management, points history, rewards, redemptions, referrals, reporting, fraud prevention, or program administration.

Account Deactivation and Deletion

Members may deactivate their account or request deletion through account settings or support.

Some records may need to be retained where required for program administration, rewards, redemptions, referrals, fraud prevention, reporting, or legal compliance.
